1. About CXY and acceptance of Terms
CXY is a reading and writing platform for publishing articles, discovering ideas, and interacting with other users. These Terms apply to the CXY website and the features made available through it. By accessing or using CXY, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.
We may update these Terms as the service changes. Please review them periodically; the date of the latest update appears above.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You may use CXY only if you are legally eligible to do so under the laws that apply to you. The CXY application does not currently establish an age-verification process or a specific minimum age in these Terms.
CXY supports email and password authentication and Google sign-in. You are responsible for keeping access to your account secure, providing accurate information where required, and notifying us if you suspect someone has accessed your account without permission. CXY does not claim to verify every user’s identity.
3. Profiles and public information
Usernames, display names, profile photos, biographies, website and social links, published articles, and comments may be visible to other users or the public according to the feature. Drafts and account activity are presented as account features. The application’s access controls also depend on its database and storage configuration.
Do not publish private or sensitive information that you do not want others to see. You are responsible for the information and materials you choose to place on a public profile or in public content.
4. Articles and user-generated content
You are responsible for the articles, drafts, comments, profile details, and other material you submit to CXY. You retain ownership of content that you own. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your articles to CXY.
By submitting or publishing content on CXY, you grant CXY a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, display, promote, and improve CXY and its features. This licence ends when you delete the content, except for copies that remain in backups, caches, legal records, or other places where retention is reasonably necessary.
You must have the rights and permissions needed to submit and publish your content. Plagiarism, copyright infringement, impersonation, and unauthorised use of another person’s work are prohibited. Do not upload or publish material that you have no right to use.
5. Acceptable use and community guidelines
You agree not to use CXY to:
- Publish unlawful content or material that infringes another person’s rights.
- Harass, threaten, bully, stalk, or abusively target another person.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent an affiliation.
- Distribute spam, scams, malicious links, or deceptive material.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems without authorisation.
- Interfere with the platform, abuse its infrastructure, or evade security controls.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute material in violation of applicable law or another person’s rights.
- Upload material that violates applicable law or these Terms.
6. Content moderation and enforcement
Authorized administrators have tools to review article, comment, and account information; remove articles and comments; and delete non-admin user accounts. These tools may be used to remove articles that violate these Terms, applicable law, or content rules, and comments that are abusive, unlawful, spam, infringing, or otherwise against platform rules. Account deletion may be used when reasonably necessary for serious or repeated violations, security risks, unlawful use, or legal compliance. Users may send concerns—including copyright infringement, impersonation, harassment, spam, or other policy issues—to the contact address below for consideration. The application does not include an in-app reporting tool, account suspension control, moderation log, or defined response time. Any action remains subject to applicable law and users’ rights under it.
7. Intellectual property and CXY branding
The CXY name, logo, brand assets, and original platform materials are owned by or licensed to their respective rights holders. You may not use them in a misleading or unauthorised way. Except for the limited licence granted above, these Terms do not give you ownership of CXY materials, and they do not give CXY ownership of your content.
8. Third-party services and links
CXY uses third-party services, including Supabase for authentication, database access, and storage, and Google when you choose Google sign-in. CXY may also contain links to external websites. Third-party services and external websites are governed by their own terms and policies. CXY does not control them or guarantee their availability.
No external analytics provider or active Google AdSense integration was identified in the application code reviewed for these Terms. AdSense is a possible future service, not an active feature confirmed by that code.
9. Privacy
How CXY handles personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of the information you should review when using the service.
10. Service availability and changes
CXY’s features may change, be temporarily unavailable, or be discontinued as the platform develops. We do not promise uninterrupted access, a particular uptime level, or a specific recovery time.
CXY provides in-app notifications for follow activity, likes, and comments on published articles. The bell indicates when unread notifications exist, and a user can mark a notification as read; opening the notification page does not mark all notifications as read. Notifications are informational, may be delayed or incomplete, and are not guaranteed to appear in real time or capture every activity.
11. Suspension and termination
Authorized administrators can delete a non-admin user’s account through an admin-only control. This may be used when reasonably necessary for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, security risks, unlawful use, or legal compliance. The application code does not show a control to suspend or temporarily restrict accounts. You may stop using CXY at any time.
The inspected profile settings screen does not include a self-service deletion control. You may request account deletion by emailing contactcxy@syllox.in. Deletion may not immediately remove copies held in backups, caches, legal records, or third-party systems. See the Privacy Policy for the implementation details and current limitations.
12. Disclaimers
Content published by users represents their own views and is not necessarily endorsed by CXY. CXY content is provided for general informational purposes. We do not represent that every article is verified, complete, accurate, or professionally reviewed.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CXY is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the service will always be available, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CXY and the people operating it will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service. Any liability that may lawfully be limited will be limited only to the extent applicable law allows.
These Terms do not exclude or limit liability, consumer rights, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. The application of this section depends on the laws applicable to the service operator and users and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before publication.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms as CXY evolves or legal requirements change. The updated date will be shown at the top of this page. Where applicable law requires notice or consent for a change, we will provide appropriate notice or seek consent.
16. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
16. Contact
